Some of our Northern and Scottish Club teams had the same great idea to spread a bit of sweetness during lockdown. The Clubs decided to donate their entire stock of Mother’s Day chocolates to some fantastic causes.
Sunderland took their chocolates to the local Ambulance service to say thank you for all their hard work and they were very well received.
Debbie Pearson, Jackie Martin and Clair Beattie from our Wallsend Club wanted to celebrate their local community heroes. They visited several Care Homes in Wallsend and Sunderland as well as Bexhill Academy. They also took some to the RNLI and the Fire service in North Shields and Wallsend, the Ambulance service in North Shields and the Local Police based in Wallsend. That’s not all though, they finished off by taking a donation to the local food bank in Sunderland too.
We’re sure that they were all gratefully received and very well deserved.
