To us, you’re all winners. Anyone that joins the Buzz Bingo family is automatically treated like a champion. However, lady luck has her own ideas. She’s a fickle mistress at times and, as much as we try to persuade her to make everyone a winner, she doesn’t always oblige. Of course, for those of you she does smile upon, the victory is that much sweeter. Well, one person who sampled the sweet nectar of success recently was Mrs Philips.
A dedicated Buzzer, Mrs Philips went from one of our “winners” to an actual winner. Playing from her home in Rochester, our latest champion scooped a prize worth £10,447! No, that’s not a typo, Mrs Philips really did break the five-figure mark. We congratulate you, Mrs Philips. What’s more, that win should inspire us all to keep listening out for the call of the balls, spinning slots and doing anything else we can to seduce lady luck.
But what of Mrs Philips? What luxuries will she buy with her newfound fortune? She told us that the money is going to whisk her off to a place where serenity reigns supreme.
“After a horrendous year it was well received and I will be enjoying a week away to relax”.
No one could begrudge anyone a holiday after the months of being stuck indoors. So, in the spirit of banding together to help a member of our community, we thought we’d pick out a few staycation destinations for Mrs Philips.
Of course, she might want to hop on a plane and jet off to the Caribbean. However, as we all know, that’s easier said than done at the moment. So, if she wants to avoid all that hassle and enjoy the splendour of the British Isles, here are three fantastic places she could visit and get some much-needed R&R.
Newquay in Cornwall is a hotspot for UK tourists and the Pentire Penthouse is one of the best places to stay. The 360-degree windows mean you can take in the coastal town’s full glory wherever you are in the penthouse. You can even take a dip in the hot tub and watch the world go by.
If hot tubs and baths aren’t your thing, the monsoon shower is a great alternative. As well as covering your aquatic needs, this place is a stone’s throw from the beach, contains ornate furniture and is, arguably, one of the most impressive holiday homes in Cornwall. How much will it set you back? It’s not cheap, but £276 per night is a bargain when you consider what you get for your money.
Travel up to the Outer Hebrides and you’ll not only enjoy breath-taking coastal venues and unrivalled tranquillity, but the Sheep Station. Eco-friendly and boasting giant windows for full views of the surrounding countryside, this wooden holiday home is a luxury getaway with some rustic features.
From the marble bathroom to the wood burning stove, the Sheep Station really does take you back to the old world. However, with fibre broadband and air conditioning, you won’t be too far from the creature comforts of modern life for around £200 per night.
Oxford is steeped in history and reverence at the best of times. However, when you throw a drop of French flair into the mix, things get really impressive. Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is a 15th-century country manor that’s been served a healthy slice of Parisian charm and sophistication courtesy of renowned chef Raymond Blanc.
As maître de Maison, he oversees two Michelin-starred restaurants and a cookery school. Add to this extensive grounds, Victorian baths in every room and the city of Oxford within easy reach, and this is an idyllic staycation destination for just over £1,000 per night!
Would you visit any of these places if you won some money? Let us know and head over to our games lobby to see if you can win big like Mrs Philips!
